Pixelmon's economy will feature a utility token, main medium of exchange and core of the game’s ecosystem A governance token system is also being designed, with the aim of giving players the tools to coordinate and actively participate in the governance of the tribes within the game.The governance token will likely be launched at a second stage after the utility token is distributed.In fact, we believe that the two token model gives the project more flexibility and better fit for purpose when designing the tokenomics within the game.
We are aware that many games cannot thrive on mainnet Ethereum due to the high gas fees and the connaturate need of supporting many interactions, all requiring their own individual transactions. This is why we will be releasing both tokens on a top tier Layer 2 (L2) solution that will allow for cheap, fast, and user-friendly integration of the entire game economy on the blockchain technology.
